In the course of publishing Unbridled: A Memoir, author Barbara McNally decided to establish an organization to help women from all walks of life live fully and authentically by expressing each of the four feminine dimensions she explored on her personal journey:
Spa Day for Wives of Wounded Warriors
Spa day for the Wives of Wounded Warriors happens twice a year and is a program created by author Barbara McNally, founder of the Mother Lover Fighter Sage Foundation. It’s an opportunity for military wives who have been supporting their husbands to have a day just for themselves to restore and rejuvenate. This program gives the wives a day at the lovely spa at the Hotel Del Coronado where they are pampered and can enjoy the fellowship of other wives struggling with the same challenges.
Below are just a few of the non-profit organizations to which the Foundation donates proceeds from book sales, and with whom we collaborate to help women everywhere achieve their optimal potential on both personal, professional, and creative levels.
Working closely with the Armed Services YMCA, the organization that co-sponsors the Spa Day for the Wives of Wounded Warriors, the Foundation has collaborated to provide and seek the support/fellowship of family members of military wounded dealing with all of the challenges that go along with our soldiers returning from war. http://www.asymca.org
Soroptimist International of La Jolla (SILJ) was founded in 1947 and its members have made many contributions to our community over its sixty plus year history. We are part of Soroptimist International, which is a worldwide organization for women in management and the professions working through service projects to advance human rights and the status of women. http://www.soroptimistlj.org
Project SARAH (Stop Abusive Relationships At Home) , a program of Jewish Family Service of San Diego, offers a safe, confidential setting for individuals experiencing domestic abuse to explore resources and assists them in making critical life decisions.
SARAH Listens. SARAH Cares. SARAH Helps. Call SARAH.
